About Arthur & Brent

For over ten years, the specialists at Arthur & Brent have been creating distinctive brand identities, clear strategies, and targeted online marketing. Arthur & Brent supports the entire brand journey, from planning to execution. ABDLG represents the collaboration between Arthur & Brent and the content agency Door Lotje Getikt. Together, they combine the best of both worlds to enhance your employer brand, based on a solid brand strategy translated into tangible content. Apostle’s employee advocacy software and Social Reach Optimization (SRO) framework are integral to this approach.

Challenge

Arthur & Brent has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Apostle for many years. “Social media isn’t our core business, but we started receiving questions from clients about online visibility,” says Lizette Overman, Social Media Content Creator at Arthur & Brent. Now, they manage multiple client teams through one dashboard using Apostle. “Many entrepreneurs find social media incredibly time-consuming: What visuals should I use? Are my texts good enough? We aim to take that burden off our clients.”

Approach

Thanks to our partnership, social media can now be included as an additional product in customers' packages.

“Apostle is something we always bring up when discussing online strategy with clients. It's a great USP.”

Arthur & Brent always starts with a brand strategy, ensuring strong positioning. Afterward, they integrate Apostle alongside other online marketing activities, primarily to strengthen a client's employer brand and disseminate job postings. “A construction worker’s job is the same at Company A as at Company B, but what makes them choose Company A over Company B? To enhance the employer image, we focus on job postings and behind-the-scenes stories or employee experiences.”

Strengthening Employer Branding: Working at the WOCO

In collaboration with the advertising agency De Code, Arthur & Brent developed the “Working at the WOCO” campaign to enhance employer branding. The goal is to spotlight the entire industry. Housing corporations used to have a dusty image, but that’s a thing of the past. Arthur & Brent works hard to make housing corporations more attractive workplaces. They do this by collecting content from local housing corporations and rewriting and distributing it on all corporate pages of affiliated housing corporations in Brabant and South Holland via Apostle software. The corporations lead in content creation. During monthly editorial meetings, Arthur & Brent gathers interviews, employee experiences, or other stories to keep the posts relevant.

During kickoff sessions, as many local housing corporations as possible are introduced to the software's usage and benefits. Apostle representatives are always present to assist. Attendees receive an Apostle invitation in advance, and a Customer Success Manager explains everything step by step. “It's crucial that people get this live (or online) experience so that an Apostle Customer Success Manager can assist if needed,” emphasizes Lizette.

Benefits for the WOCO's

“They know they’ll receive a social media post proposal every week. They’re prepared and only need to approve the post. We work with editorial groups in advance, so the content is pre-screened. It’s straightforward to schedule posts via Apostle,” explains Lizette. The success of combining organic posts and social advertising for WOCOs in Brabant also caught the attention of South Holland. Now, 91 corporate pages from WOCOs in Brabant and South Holland are connected, and Utrecht is also exploring this option.

Combining Corporate and Personal Pages

For other clients, posts are also scheduled for employees’ personal channels. Arthur & Brent believes firmly in utilizing employees as brand ambassadors and encourage this among their clients. “When you notice a colleague is needed, it’s much more credible if you say it’s a great workplace rather than the company saying it. Employees reach their network connections, creating a ripple effect.”

“We start small with ten to fifteen employees and let the client experience the added value,” Lizette continues. “Then we gradually expand to the desired number of brand ambassadors. Nowadays, just using corporate pages isn’t enough.” Thanks to Apostle's ready-made SRO framework, rolling out the brand ambassador program is straightforward and provides tools to keep employees active and motivated.

Partnership with Apostle

“A real plus of Apostle: it’s a Dutch company, you get immediate contact, they listen to you, and if there’s a problem, it’s resolved quickly. As a partner, it’s very reassuring to rely on the Customer Success team to fix something. You don’t get that with Coosto, Hootsuite, or similar tools,” says Lizette. “We deliberately chose Apostle as a partner and always recommend it to clients; besides the software and app, it offers many advantages.”

Results

Arthur & Brent has emerged with a new value proposition and revenue model that the company, as a partner of Apostle, can present to clients. Clients are relieved of their social media burdens and gain additional online visibility. Arthur & Brent connects new clients to the Apostle software themselves and receives new clients from Apostle for content creation. The revenue generated from this is theirs.

Lizette is delighted with Apostle’s workflow:

“Right now, it's incredibly convenient for me. I can schedule social media posts for various clients all in one dashboard. The client approves all posts themselves. This process saves me a lot of time.”
