Vivent faced two major challenges: making better use of social media and improving the public image of healthcare. Together with Apostle, they launched a Social Shift: ten employees from across the organization began consistently sharing their work experiences on their personal social media channels.
“Who better to represent healthcare than the people working in it every day?” says Tanja van Oosten, Social Media Manager at Vivent. By sharing authentic stories, employees showed that healthcare is so much more than the typical stereotypes.
One key lesson? Management had to learn to let go. Without trust and room for authenticity, impactful communication simply isn’t possible. That’s exactly what made their approach so effective.
